Myriad Mysteries of Nature

Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature

Since the mankind developed, it has admired Mother Nature the most and specially we, the Photographers. Colours are the smiles of Nature and we capture them, but sometimes a smile could be made even more beautiful and that’s why we keep on looking for new ways to capture. And thus in this section we will see some basic photographic skills on clicking with **sun in background**.

📷

Although there are a lot of things that need to be kept in mind while clicking a natural photograph, but mastering a few important elements can help you take a perfect shot.

Focus: It is really important thing that can make your shot extraordinary. We have a example over here.

It can be clearly seen that the focus of the image is at the center on the water droplets which adds something extra to it. Focus sometimes can take out some really good information about the scene.

ISO : The ISO determines how sensitive the camera is to light. For example, an ISO of 100 means the camera isn’t very sensitive—great for shooting in the daylight. An ISO 3200 means the camera is very sensitive to light, so you can use that higher ISO for getting shots in low light. The trade off is that images at high ISOs appear to be grainy and have less detail. ISO is balanced with aperture and shutter speed to get a proper exposure.

Positioning : Correct positioning while clicking is really important as it determines how the observer will perceive the scene you capture. We can have an example over here:

Although the images are almost same, but the position of the sun really changes the beauty of the click.

Sunset is still my favorite colour, and rainbow second

Shutter Speed and Exposure : These settings determine how much light has to be allowed and thus brightness of the image. The shutter speed is how long that shutter stays open, written in seconds or fractions of a second, like 1/200 s or 1”, with the “ symbol often used to designate an entire second. The longer the shutter stays open, the more light that is let in. But, anything that moves while the shutter is open will become a blur, and if the entire camera moves while the shutter is open the whole image will be blurry—that’s why tripods are necessary for longer shutter speeds.

The images can help us see the difference between the exposure settings

of the camera while clicking.

Finally, the Most Important Thing is that you’ve got to love it. It’s only your passion that can take you to the skies. Nature photographers spend a lot of time outdoors. If you’re a landscape photographer, you’ll spend lots of your time hiking through scenic areas for just a few clicks of the shutter. Wildlife photographers often spend hours and hours sitting in one place, waiting for an animal to appear. Without the passion and drive behind you, this can be mind-numbing.

📷

Results don’t come instantly, and like anything, it takes practice to achieve great images. Since you can’t direct nature and tell it what to do, taking good photos can be a longer process than in the other disciplines, but the challenge is what keeps it interesting. So, Keep Sailing High.
